On February 21st, the MWRA Board of Directors approved transmitting the proposed FY25 CEB as well as preliminary FY25 community assessments to the Advisory Board for its annual review. The average assessment increase proposed is 3%. The combined rate is comprised of a 3.9% water increase and a 2.5% sewer increase. Advisory Board staff will be working hard to see how we can best tighten the number to provide communities some short-term rate relief while keeping an eye on the long-term impacts to assessments.
