Pappastergion to the MWRA Board of Directors. Mr. Pappastergion will embark on his tenth consecutive term, solidifying his position as the current\u00a0longest-serving member of the Board, and a true champion for the communities the MWRA serves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor nearly four decades, Andy Pappastergion has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service, particularly when it comes to the water and wastewater infrastructure that sustains and supports\u00a0our communities,\u201d said MWRA Advisory Board Chair John Sanchez. \u201cHis extensive experience and deep well of knowledge are invaluable assets to the Board. We are incredibly fortunate to have him continue his leadership role.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Pappastergion brings an unmatched perspective to the MWRA Board, honed through a distinguished career in public works. He retired as Commissioner of the Department of Public Works for the Town of Brookline, following a remarkable 25 years as Director of the Water and Sewer Division. Prior to that, his expertise was instrumental in design and construction projects that improved the Town\u2019s utility infrastructure. Mr. Pappastergion holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. His commitment to public health and safety is further underscored by his Grade 4 Operator&#8217;s License for Drinking Water Supply Facilities in Massachusetts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am deeply honored by the continued trust and support of the MWRA Advisory Board,\u201d said Mr. Pappastergion. \u201cMy dedication to ensuring the delivery of the best drinking water in the country as well as reliable wastewater services to our communities remains unwavering.
