A new wave of $500,000 in grants from the Office of Coastal Zone Management’s<\/span> (CZM)<\/span> Coastal Pollutant Remediation<\/span> (CRP)<\/span> Grant Program was announced yesterday. The funding will benefit stormwater projects in five Massachusetts communities, including MWRA community Arlington. Arlington’s efforts to treat pollutants carried by stormwater will include bioretention basins and infiltration trenches, helping to protect Alewife Brook and the Mystic River. The other communities receiving grants in this round include Barnstable, Kingston, Sandwich, and Yarmouth.
